What is the Schengen 90/180 rule?
It allows a maximum of 90 days of stay within any 180-day period across the whole Schengen area, counted backwards from any day of your stay.
Do the entry and exit days count?
Yes. Both the day you enter and the day you leave count as full days of stay.
What happens if I overstay 90 days in Spain?
An overstay can lead to fines, refusal of future entry or a ban from the Schengen area. It is best to regularise your situation with immigration legal advice.
Is this calculator useful if I hold Spanish residence?
